Не все эти повороты в равной степени удачны и, что еще важнее, не каждому удается, как следует раскрыть специфические качества героя Лэнгдона. Сцена, где он выясняет отношения с авантюристкой, становится самой показательной и смешной частью фильма. 2-я часть, переносящая действие в маленькое пространство Кловердейла, несмотря на насыщенность событиями и блестящее исполнение, остается несколько незавершенной в развитии ситуаций и ничуть не обогащает характер героя.
